Are you working on too many projects at once?
I was listening to Josh Benzoni being interviewed on The School of Greatness Podcast. He was going through the 8 Mental Shifts to Making $100 Million in Your Business. The one mental shift that really caught my attention was having “forced focus”. He and his partners committed to being solely focused on the business they were creating until the business didn’t need them anymore. It was in their contract. They couldn’t do any side businesses or consulting until their new business reached the level they wanted.
What could I accomplish if I applied “forced focus” in my life?
I’ve got so many ideas and I love to try new things. I really need to apply the concept of forced focus into my life and concentrate on what I really want to happen. I need to stop distracting myself with new shiny things.
I think I’m going to use FOCUS for my word of 2016. That’s what I really need to do. I need to step back and look at the big picture. I need to see if I’m still on track to reach my destination of being able to work from home.
To help with this I am going to be looking at some of the new top down planners. I want to focus on my goals and make good things happen in 2016. I need to see if I’m still on the right path and then chart a course for the new year.
Have you been focused in 2015?
